East's Leisure & Golf Club
The picturesque new clubhouse facility for East's Leisure & Golf Club is sited longitudinally along the golf course frontage to take advantage of the views on offer. The simple architecture roof forms provide a strong identity to the clubhouse, while still sitting sympathetically within the East Maitland context.
Externally the articulation of the masonry walls, frameless glazing, balustrade, louvre and pergola details break down the scale of the building. Large eaves overhang, operable "vergola" louvred roofs, solar glazing and energy efficient services ensure the clubhouse operates efficiently.
Internally the decor is designed to promote a sense of exuberance. The strong colours and carpet designs compliment the simple yet elegant style of the bar. Every element of the interiors has a degree of 'design' ranging from signage to furniture and logos.
The introduction of expansive terraces allows patrons to benefit from the ambience provided, from dining, socialising or reminiscing the golf game just played. The resultant project has been well received and patronised by the public exceeding all of the client's expectations.
