Roberts Residence
The Roberts residence is the result of a great collaboration between client, architect and builder, with the client's sense of style being interpreted and built into a contemporary design of simple understated elegance.
Despite being two storeys, this new home sits comfortably within the existing streetscape on a very small triangular block on the banks of Throsby Creek, by using low-pitched roofs and borrowing architectural forms and materials from adjacent houses.
Internally the open plan living areas and the near seamless transition from indoors to outdoors provides a very relaxed atmosphere. The focus on of the house is a two storey glazed living area which looks out to the view and lets the sun penetrate deep into the house.
An elegant kitchen opens onto the dining, living and family areas, allowing effortless entertaining. Upstairs the home office and private sitting room also look out to the view as well as down to the living area below.
