The Hunter Property Council recently presented its “Maximum Opportunity 2.0” scheme for the future of Newcastle, put together by a special task force including EJE Director Glen Spicer. The study presents a vision for the greater Newcastle metropolitan area, corresponding to predicted population increase in the coming decades. Improved transport networks along growth corridors were a key theme of the presentation, with a new Kotara train station, expanded ferry and bus routes and an extended light rail network seen as assets for the city.
