Key Projects:

Maroba Manor
MBA Building

Glen is an experienced Architect with over 24 years experience in the construction industry. He joined EJE in 1996 after working in a London architectural practice and was appointed to the position of Associate in 1999 and became Director in 2008.

Glen has lived and travelled extensively throughout Europe which has helped to broaden his design knowledge.  Glen is presently one of EJE’s leading designers with many of his designs being recognised by his peers with several design awards including the 2013 Institute Of Architects Public Buildings Award, the 2010 LHUDA Large Scale Commercial Award, Sustainability Award and the overall 2010 LHUDA Landcom Design Award for the Master Builders Association Building.

Glen currently sits on the Newcastle City Council Urban Design Review Panel panel where he is part of a group reviewing multi-residential and other major projects for SEPP 65 compliance. He was Chairman of the Newcastle Division of the Institute of Architects from 2007 – 2011 and has been a professional Industry Adviser to a variety of local Councils on development controls. Glen has been active with the Property Council as a member of their Regional Taskforce, participated in the USA Study tour and played a key role in the development of the Property Council’s recent submission to Urban Growth titled ‘Maximum Opportunity’ showing the potential redevelopment of the Newcastle Heavy Rail corridor.

Glen’s talents lie in providing a unique and different design solution to each project, a solution that meets the brief requirements and that takes advantage and makes the most of a site’s potential.  He looks to see the opportunity in every design problem and incorporates Environmentally Sensitive Design principles within each project.
