Richard began his career with a residential practice in Noosa before returning to university to complete a Master of Architecture from the University of Tasmania. In 2013, Richard commenced employment at EJE and has worked primarily in the hospitality sector since then, gaining significant experience in hotel and club design. He became an Associate of the firm in 2016.
During his time at EJE, Richard has worked with an extensive list of hotels and clubs including the historic Kent Hotel in Beaumont Street. He is currently working on the rebuild of the Nelson Bay Golf Club which burnt down in late 2015. This project is currently under construction with completion due mid-2017. Richard has also recently been involved in a number of independent living developments in conjunction with registered clubs.
With a keen interest in eco design, Richard studied Environmental Design (Architecture) as an undergraduate degree and brings a sound understanding of sustainable architecture to each project, ensuring outcomes are environmentally responsible. He is also interested in the use of 3D CAD programs in the design, coordination and visualisation of projects.
