The EJE Architecture designed $50M NSW headquarters for Sandvik situated at Heatherbrae has been officially opened. Integrating a number of Sandvik Mining’s NSW facilities into a single operation the project has a total of 28,000 sq m under cover creating one of the company’s largest manufacturing, assembly, distribution and aftermarket service centres in the world. The design features a number of ESD initiatives including state-of-the-art solar power and heat recovery technology.

EJE’s Memorial Walk project is gaining momentum, with this article appearing in The Herald on 9th February 2012: Plans for a four-metre wide promenade from Merewether Beach to Nobbys lighthouse should be completed by April. Newcastle City Council was briefed on plans for the Bathers Way public domain, as well as concept designs for a “Memorial Walk” along the cliff top between Bar Beach and the Bogey Hole. On the 14th December 2011 a new market style Coles supermarket opened its doors in the centre of Port Macquarie. It took more than six months of construction to create the new 3000 sq m outlet, which is more than 500 sq m larger than the old one.
