Huntlee Shopping Centre

Coles Group Property Developments engaged EJE Architecture to advance a Concept Masterplan of a 5ha site in the undeveloped Town Centre for the New Huntlee Township. The masterplan looked at development of the site over a 5 to 20 year timeframe. The first stage consists of a 5,500sqm development which includes a 3,500sqm supermarket, 1,200sqm of specialty tenancy space, loading dock facilities and associated parking. Also included in this stage is a town square and green which will form a focal point for the growing township. Future stages will include a multi storey commercial strip which will help establish the ‘main street’ of Huntlee. Subsequent development may include an additional 10,000sqm of retail space to accommodate a major retailer and many small retail tenancies.

Stage 1 of the development is now complete and the town centre has started to materialise. EJE carried the concept masterplan through to Stage 1 DA, design development, construction documentation and services during construction.
