On the shore of Swansea Channel, a new ANZAC memorial has national significance. Designed by Smith Sculptors of WA, the rising sun artwork mirrors a similar structure in Onslow, WA. Each perfectly aligned to capture the rising sun on ANZAC day, the two structures form an integrated memorial of quite literally nation-wide significance. A televised link is proposed between the two sites, showing first the East coast sunlight framed through the Swansea memorial, then the West coast dawn two hours later in Onslow.
EJE Architecture is proud to be associated with the creation of the Onslow-Swansea ANZAC Memorial, and looks forward to the dawn service on 25 April 2015.
