ASSOCIATE
Dominic engages with architectural projects that embrace historical and theoretical criteria. As a key member of EJE Heritage, Dominic undertakes in-depth analysis of his site to fully understand their historical context, using this as a method of informing the design process.
Dominic has worked on a variety of commercial, residential and heritage projects in the Newcastle and the Hunter Region, regional cities of Armidale, Byron Bay and Cairns, heritage documentation projects in Fiji, and has previous experience in residential architecture in Sydney. As well as architectural design and documentation, Dominic undertakes a variety of written documentation for architectural, heritage and master planning projects.
Dominic’s recent project accolades include recognition of The Newcastle Visitor Information Centre with the AIA Newcastle Division Award for Heritage 2021, Lisa McGuigan Wines Cellar Door as a finalist in the Dulux Colour Awards 2020, The Newcastle Signal Box Stage 1 Restoration with the AIA Newcastle Division Award for Heritage 2019, and Battlesticks Restaurant with the AIA Newcastle Division Award Colorbond Award for Steel Architecture 2017. Dominic has been short listed for the Australian Institute of Architects Dulux Study Tour in 2021, 2016 and 2014. Dominic was also the USYD Awardee of the NSW AIA Graduate Prize for History and Theory in both 2013 and 2012.
Dominic serves as a committee member of the Australian Institute of Architects’ Regional Division, and previously has served on the committee of the Newcastle Emerging Architects and Graduate Network (EMAGN).
